SMS and Twitter

To stay on the cutting edge with newspaper web design, our team has been working hard to come up with programming that can enhance a website's usability as well as give it the edge online competing with other newspapers.

One of the things we have developed is an SMS program that will allow users to send articles to their (or anyone's) cell phone. Moreover, we have also programmed a way for newspaper sites to send out an SMS blast for breaking news alerts.

The SMS blasts work on the same principle as Twitter feeds, where a short message can be sent out to mobile devices. For the most part, these "blasts" can contain a short description and a link to a full article.

Speaking of Twitter, our programmers also have developed a Twitter feed that can be used two ways on your site:

• With each designated post, the headline can be Twittered out to a newspaper's Twitter account.
• It can also work in reverse, if you would like, where your Twitter feed is posted directly on your site with links for readers to "follow" you through Twitter
