NEW YORK Google CEO Eric Schmidt is delivering the keynote speech at the Newspaper Association of America's annual conference for publishers and executives. This year, the meeting is taking place in San Diego, April 5-7.
Schmidt will talk about "his unique perspective on newspapers, journalism and his company's role in the future of the industry," said the NAA.
Additionally, the Associated Press will hold its annual meeting along with the NAA conference. Mexico's Attorney General Eduardo Median Mora is scheduled to speak during AP's luncheon on April 6.
The NAA conference "will focus on how newspapers can drive audience and revenue growth in today's media landscape, both now and in the future," John Sturm, president and CEO of the NAA, said in a statement.
The NAA is streaming the audio live of Schmidt's presentation on April 7 at 10 a.m. PST.
